The MOTIVE not the MOTIVATOR

Have you for once ask yourself the major reason behind doing things that you do. Well, for me it a critical question i asked myself every now and then. This has a major role in achieving success. Success is championing a cause which once greatly believed in either failing ow working. Therefore in an attempt to pursuit a cause, one of the major step is for one to have a self conviction about this cause and clearly define its meaning and what it stand to achieve to humanity. Any service that it intention is not going to add to humanity is a selfish service.

The reason why everyone exist is to render service to support humanity, be it personal or collective responsibilities. Sincerely speaking most of the things that human develop interest in doing is not all about self gain or driven by profit and therefore there should be need to understand the differences between the motive and motivator

Motive is defined according to dictionary as "a reason for doing something" while
Motivator is an incentive awaiting a result or proposed for getting something or a person that motivate others to do something, a person of action or a goal getter.

Most of the time i have found out that the motivator set people in action to get something done though but does not put the person in the right mind for getting such a thing done. The most important thing is to communicate the motive behind achieving a task to people and buy them in rather than proposing a propelling action or strategy that will set them in motion.

Someone will ask why?. from research, it has been proved that people can freely follow and get things done in right mind and achieving great result when they have been feeling or sense of belongingness  and people get bored when they are asked to do things which does not allow demonstration of any intellectual capacity and seems manipulating.

How will this help one to get better in his or her carreer?
Having the foreknowledge of this will always guide you in delivering your best whenever you are assigned a task, a project or given a cause to champion. It will enable your to focus on the target not the disturbance.
